3D Printing
What better way to explore the possibilities of FDM and SLA 3D printing than by using it to realize one of my passions - Building motorcycles!
Project Brief | To build a scale model of a motorcycle with 3D printing as a major tool.
Solution | CAD files from Grabcad were individually modified using Solidworks, scaled down in Rhino and assembled into a single motorcycle for verification. The files were then individually 3D printed exploring the capabilities of Form 2(SLA) and Ultimaker(FDM). Successful builds were assembled with the components that were hand prototyped.
Duration | 3 weeks
Tools used | Pencil on paper, Photoshop, Solid works, Rhino, Ultimaker, Form 2, and other hard modeling tools.
